Mark Flanders
Founder and CEO
Mark has building in his blood. A second generation builder, Mark grew up on job sites. He began drawing blueprints for remodeling projects for his father at the age of 16 and took over his father’s business at age 24. With over two and a half decades of experience as a custom home builder and remodeler, Mark knows what it takes to make clients happy and create beautiful, functional homes that last.
Mark is blessed to have been married to the love of his life for nearly 3 decades. When he is not working, Mark loves camping and hiking with their 7 children.
Chris Gilbert
Director of Business Development
Chris has been a vital member of the Blue Hill Building Co. team since 2022. For Chris, fostering positive customer relationships has been an important part of his work. Before joining our team he had many years of experience in sales and running a small business. His passion drives him to strive to create beautiful results, and give our customers a truly enjoyable experience.
Chris lives on his homestead in central Virginia with his wife and six children.
Steve Craun
Project Manager
He truly is the backbone of our operation, we don’t know what we’d do without him. After being in commercial construction for 11 years, he’s now turned his eye toward residential construction. Not only does he know how to keep everything rolling smoothly, but he’s extremely talented with hands on work as well. Before construction, he served in the Marine Corps, where he learned about teamwork, respect, and endurance. When he’s not at work, he enjoys being outdoors with his wife and two children in the Shenandoah Valley where he was born and raised.
Heather Goodloe
With diverse experience spanning administration, computer technologies, management, customer service, and photography, Heather has eagerly taken on the Office Management position at Blue Hill. Heather is happy to take on any behind-the-scenes tasks required to keep the office running smoothly. This proactive, hands-on approach defines her personal life as well; she is a traveler, outdoorswoman, artist, wife, home project tackler, and dog mom who is equally comfortable with a power tool or a paintbrush.
